In the first trailer for Tom Hardy's new FX original series, Taboo, the Oscar-nominated actor leaves little to the imagination. Hardy trekking through the jungle in a loincloth and tribal tattoos with a spear in hand is enough to pique our interest in this period drama.

In Taboo, Hardy plays a young man who returns home to 1814 London from Africa after he was presumed dead. Inheriting his father's shipping empire, he tries building a new life for himself, while avoiding enemies. It's a classic tale of family secrets, betrayal, and other pearl-clutching drama.
