The Oscar-winner is 'logging off for a while.'
Following his much-talked about blunder at the Oscars, Sam Smith is taking a break from Twitter.
Smith wrote to his followers:
\u201cI'm logging off for a while. Some Martinis shaken not stirred are definitely in order.\u201d— SAM SMITH (@SAM SMITH) 1456854753
The hiatus comes after the waves of attacks Smith faced when he declared himself the first openly gay man to win an Oscar. Tom Daley's fiance Dustin Lance Black immediately went to Twitter to remind Smith of his Oscar win for Best Original Screenplay for 2008's Milk.

Smith has not been exactly winning lately--he called his Oscars performance the "worst moment" of his life.
"It was the worst moment of my life," he told BBC radio station 5 Live. "Singing was horrible. I hated every minute of it. I was so nervous."
Well, Smith, we hope your luck starts looking up.
