Sean Hayes Headed Back to Broadway with An Act of God

Sean Hayes

And then there were gays.

After a successful run on the west coast, Sean Hayes will be back on Broadway this spring in the divine comedy, An Act of God, Variety reports.

The play, which sees Hayes playing God himself addressing contemporary queries from humanity, begins previews on May 28 before it opens on June 6. An Act of God was in New York City during a similar time last year but with Jim Parsons playing the Almighty. Hayes, who hasn't been on Broadway since 2010's Promises, Promises, is already well-versed in the role, having traveled with the production to California and headlining the show since January.

No matter how hilariously irreverent the play is, at least they got the God-being-gay thing right.
