You may recognize Anthony Rapp from the Rent original cast or Cheyenne Jackson from those shorts he rocked in Xanadu. But in their newest film, Opening Night, they take on a role behind-the-scenes to a group of high school theater kids.
Rapp plays Logan Joyce, a high school theater teacher who desparately wants to pull off a quality play before the school cuts his funding. Jackson is Eli Faisel, a successful actor and old friend of Logan who returns to see their production of Midsummer Night's Dream. The film includes gay teenagers, vengeful nerds, and the ghost of William Shakespeare.
