Rihanna Helps a Gay Fan Come Out

An anonymous gay man, who has been struggling with his sexuality, has allegedly been supported by his icon, Rihanna. The man shared a direct message with the singer, in which he told her about his struggles and fear in regards to his sexuality.

Rihanna replied saying, "It's okay to be scared, but it's more important to be who you are!"

After the positive reaction and support, the man began to tell his friends that he was gay, and kept Rihanna updated on the whole process. Rihanna continued to respond to the fan.

"I'm so proud of you! I'm glad to see you finally happy with yourself!" Rihanna replied. "Being who you are is the only way."

The fan told BuzzFeed that he reached out to Rihanna because he felt that no one else would understand how he was feeling. BuzzFeed also reported that "he hopes to be fully out of the closet by July when he'll be meeting Rihanna for the first time during her Anti world tour."
