Labyrinth Returning to Theaters for 30th Anniversary
The movie will also be back for home viewing in special anniversary editions
This year has been a tough one for celebrity deaths, and losing David Bowie has hit us the hardest. His entire career was iconic, chock-full of beautiful music, legendary movies, and spectacular art. But one movie stood out from the rest: Labyrinth.
Released in 1986, Labyrinth celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and for the occasion it's returning to theaters via Fathom Events. We'll get another chance to see the Goblin King (Bowie) grace the big screen, this time with exclusive content --and a very fresh-faced Jennifer Connelly.
There will also be a 30th anniversary edition Blu-ray, DVD, and 4k Ultra HD, due out on September 20. The discs will include a making-of, a commentary by art director Brian Froud, and a featurette with Jennifer Connelly and Jim Henson.
In honor of Bowie's passing, it will also include Connelly and Henson's children paying tribute to the late Goblin King. Sweet!
