#FBF: When Derrick Barry Met Britney Spears in 2003

This week, we were sad to see Britney - err, I mean Derrick Barry get eliminated on RuPaul's Drag Race. Say what you will about him as a drag queen, but that was one fishy Britney impersonator. He was pretty good for entertainment value as well.

This week, we caught up with Derrick and he recalled his first time dressing as Britney:

"Halloween 2003 was the first time. And then two weeks later when she was on The Tonight Show, she actually talked to me while she was being interviewed and I was sitting in the audience. And as soon as she locked eyes with me, that's when I knew that I had to do this."

We did a little sleuthing--or YouTube search, if you will--and found the appearance he was referring to. Sure enough, Leno points out an early 20-something Derrick Barry in the crowd and the rest is history. Turns out he was always just as scantily clad as he was on the Drag Race runway.
