Watch: Dolly Parton Releases Trans-Inclusive Message of Tolerance

Dolly Parton

The legend and longtime ally of the gay community broke it down with this indisputable PSA: "I think everybody should be treated with respect.”

Dolly Parton continues to spread her message of inclusivity and tolerance. She recently posted a video on CNN Money's Facebook page last Friday that focused on the trans community.

The singer, who kicked off her Pure & Simple tour in Greensboro, NC on Friday night, decided to play in the state that passed the highly discriminatory House Bill 2, but made sure not to remain quiet.

Long heralded as revolutionary for harboring liberal views while maintaining popularity across the red states, Dolly had this to say:

"I don't judge people. I try not to get too caught up in the controversy of things. I hope that everybody gets a chance to be who and what they are."

The best part, though, is at the end: "I just know, if I have to be, I'm gonna pee. I don't care where it's gon' be!"

It should be noted that one of Dolly's best songs is "Travelin' Thru," from the 2005 film Transamerica, which starred Felicity Huffman as a transgender woman. The song netted Parton her second Oscar nomination for Best Original Song.
