Sure, a parental/teacher figure overseeing the development and maturation of children gifted with supernatural abilities may have been done before *cough* X-Men *cough*, but never has it been done through the lens of Tim Burton's mind.
In the latest trailer for Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, based on the novel by Ransom Riggs, we learn that Peregrine (Eva Green) keeps her house and charges in a time loop, effectively protecting and shielding them from the outside world. But now monsters called hollows, led by a cloudy-eyed Samuel L. Jackson, are after the children for their powers. Of course it's up to Peregrine's newest student, Jacob (Asa Butterfield), to save them all. Honestly, they had us at Eva Green. Watch below.
