First lady Michelle Obama was featured in the latest installment of James Corden'sLate Late Show "Carpool Karaoke" segment, with Missy Elliot appearing later as another guest star.
They sang "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Obama's favorite, Stevie Wonder, followed by Beyonce's "Single Ladies (yes, they did the dance too, of course), and then Missy Elliot's "This Is For My Girls" and "Get Ur Freak On," both of which were accompanied by the artist herself.
Corden also asked Obama about life at the White House and her post-FLOTUS plans. She admitted that she was looking forward to some more freedom in her everyday life, but would miss her peers, some of whom she revealed knew her by her Secret Service code name, "Renaissance."
Later, Obama and Missy Elliot talked about the former's education initiative, "Let Girls Learn," and Obama's upcoming trip to Liberia, Spain, and Morocco to spread her female-centric education platform.
"Right now, there's 62 million girls worldwide that aren't in school for a variety of different reasons," she told Corden. "So much could be corrected in the world if girls were educated and had power over their lives."
