Sia Sings Chilling Single 'Unstoppable' on Good Morning America
In case anyone was still wondering, the Song of Summer 2016 is undoubtedly "Cheap Thrills" by Sia--just trust, and turn on the radio. The dynamic and wacky singer-songwriter continues to dominate the season with a truly show-stopping rendition of "Unstoppable," her final single off the album This is Acting, on Friday's Good Morning America.
The gifted performer, known for her ego-less presentation and incredibly fragile lyrics, continues to serve us that Bjork energy, but all her own and perfectly attuned for the new millennium. Refer to the cartoonish outsized hairbow and uncanny work pants. And the men in flesh-toned bodysuits certainly don't hurt either.
Even though "Unstoppable" is a departure for the artist--the song is about feeling confident and powerful, as opposed to the damaged beauty of prior hits like "Chandelier" or "Elastic Heart"--Sia's delivery and subtext still communicates untold reservoirs of vulnerability. And we wouldn't want it any other way.
