Yesterday, we released our September cover story about Colton Haynes and his heartbreaking climb to fame. Filled with extreme emotion, the interview serves as a coming out story that we hoped would be an inspiration for others. We didn't quite expect it to inspire something like this.

Tom Lenk, a comedian and actor best known for his role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, recreated Haynes's cover with his own unique sense of style. Lenk has gone viral for his hilarious recreations of celeb photos and videos that range from Met Gala red carpet looks to a scene from The Huntsman: Winter's War to Adele's "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" video and most recently, Orlando Bloom's scandalous nude photos--sorry, only the censored version.
Although our cover shoot was styled by our fashion director, Grant Woolhead, and photographed by Blair Getz Mezibov, Lenk did the whole thing himself. Using the #LenkLewkForLess method of recreating high fashion at low costs, he used wigs to make a sweater and towels for a backdrop. And who needs InDesign when you have pipe cleaners?
"As a haushold hi fashun icon, I take my job very seriously [sic]," Lenk told us. "And am excited to share my pashun for creating magazine cover-worthy LenkLewks at bargain basement prices. You don't have to break the bank to break hearts in this Colton Haynes ensemble."
We are living for the #LenkLewkForLess Out magazine cover!
