“I miss you, Carrie, and I love you.”
Ellen DeGeneres concluded her talk show back from the holiday break with a tribute to actress and writer Carrie Fisher, who died Dec. 27.
DeGeneres praised Fisher and loved how "she was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her."
She ended the show with a video tribute showing some highlights of interviews between the two women--even one where Fisher said her legacy as Star Wars' Princess Leia followed her around like a "vague exotic smell."
When The Force Awakens was released, DeGeneres and Fisher took to the streets to hawk tickets for the movie--sporting earmuffs shapped in the iconic, cinnamon-roll hairstyle of Prince Leia in A New Hope.
