David Bowie Stamps to be Released in Honor of His 70th Birthday
In honor of his would-be 70th birthday, the Royal Mail in the UK will release 10 commemorative stamps celebrating icon David Bowie. The pop culture postage will feature imagery from throughout Bowie's illustrious career--everything from Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane to Heroes, Let's Dance, Earthling and Blackstar.
The stamps will become available March 14, and are available for pre-order at the Royal Mail's website. Customers outside the UK, however, will have to go through a registration process. It's worth it, though, to send your next letter with beautiful Bowie staring up from your envelope. Snail mail is cool, again!
Though he continued to make music throughout his life, Bowie's last live performance was actually all the way back in 2006, at a benefit concert at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. There, he sang "Changes" alongside Alicia Keys. Watch the footage, below, while you wait for your new mail decorations to arrive.
