Pop icon Sia is urging people to resist the latest upset from the Trump administration-and she's willing to pay for it. In actual dollars.
The Cheap Thrills singer tweeted Saturday night a call to donate to the American Civil Liberties Union "to help our queer & immigrants friends." She said that she would match donations up to $100,000.
The ACLU challenged in court President Donald Trump's executive order restricting immigration to the U.S. from select countries. Late Saturday, the ACLU won a temporary stay so that immigrants and legal residents affected by the ban could re-enter the country after protests broke out over their detainment at major airports.
Other celebrities joined Sia's called, including Rosie O'Donnell and Judd Apatow.
“Okay @sia. We are all going to join you. I am in! https://t.co/XN8tqp7sPX”— Judd Apatow 🇺🇦 (@Judd Apatow 🇺🇦) 1485648063
