Michael Jackson is back and spookier than ever in CBS' upcoming hour-long animated special, Michael Jackson's Halloween. The trailer was released this week, and although it doesn't feature any overt LGBTQ content, the film certainly looks... queer.
Essentially, the trailer is 30 seconds of famous people (including Alan Cumming, Jim Parsons, Lucy Liu and Christine Baranski) in recording studios juxtaposed with their animated characters, and then some group shots of everybody dancing to Jackson's biggest hits. It doesn't give much away in regards to the story, but who cares? There's a talking monkey!
According to CBS, the special is about Vincent (voiced by Lucas Till) and Victoria (Kiersey Clemons), two teenagers who "accidentally cross paths on Halloween night and embark on a magical adventure of personal discovery." By the end of the film they also reportedly discover Jackson himself.
Even with a star-studded cast, Michael Jackson's Halloween is likely to be a nightmare. But at least it will have a good soundtrack, right?
