Life really does imitate art.

Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore has been under fire for weeks. Several women have accused the former Alabama chief justice of sexual misconduct with them when they were minors. Despite this, Moore holds considerable support in the state against his Democratic opponent, Doug Jones.

The campaign has reached such ridiculous lows that national news--and late-night comics--have taken notice. So, to see if we can still tell the difference between reality and comedy, here's a list of actual Roy Moore quotes and quotes of Roy Moore impersonators.

Feel free to test yourself. Also, remind your Alabama friends and loved ones that the special election is Tuesday, December 12.

"I think it was great at the time when families were united--even though we had slavery--they cared for one another. Our families were strong, our country had a direction."

That's Moore responding to a question from an African-American rally attendee, who asked when America was last "great."

"I'm shocked. These are serious and disturbing allegations against Donald Trump, and frankly, I don't want to be associated with this fellow at all."

Sorry, that's Patton Oswalt pulling his best Roy Moore impression on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Would be nice to hear a Republican say those words, though, right?

"Now we have blacks and whites fighting, reds and yellows fighting, Democrats and Republicans fighting, men and women fighting."

Now couldn't you just see Kate McKinnon delivering this ridiculous line as Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a Saturday Night Live cold open? Sadly, this is a real Moore quote from September.

"Well, if everyone thinks I did it, I'll marry her."

This is from an SNL cold open, with Mikey Day playing the Senate hopeful.

"I can't tell you how many times I've been on a date, didn't ask the girl how old she was--especially after I asked her mama."

Trick question: That's actually Dean Young, a strategist with the Moore campaign, responding to allegations against Moore for inappropriate sexual conduct with minors.

"I have no idea how sex works; my parents found me under a cabbage leaf."

OK, this is obviously Stephen Colbert. But it's hilarious no matter what.
