Does Wolverine Have Foreskin?

wolverine

The Internet really wants to know.

With every superhero movie that hits the big screen, a wave of geekdom and fan theories takes over the internet. Is Rey the granddaughter of Obi-Wan Kenobi? Is Dumbledore actually Ron Weasley grown up and travelled back in time? Is Chris Pratt's character from Jurassic World actually that annoying kid who insulted velociraptors at the beginning of the first original Jurassic Park movie?

But the biggest fan theory of the week revolves around Wolverine. It's not about his powers or the fate of the X-Men. It's the paradox of whether or not Logan is circumcised.

Emily Gaudette at Inverse did an impressive job of laying out all the possibilities. The mutant's affluent 19th century Canadian upbringing happened during a social shift toward circumcision becoming mainstream in the western world. But when his healing powers surfaced over a decade later, would that have been able to grow back any severed foreskin? Is it different for his daughter Laura, whether or not her hymen would potentially grow back after sexual intercourse? Ultimately Gaudette, concludes that he was likely circumcised as a child but his foreskin could have grown back if his powers were retroactively effective.

Is this a massive waste of Internet resources? Possibly. Are we dying from curiosity? Absolutely. Curses to Stan Lee for never thinking to clarify this crucial detail.
