The Joanne singer's beverages were created as part of Starbucks' Cups of Kindness initiative. Available from today, June 13, through June 19, Gaga's drinks are: Matcha Lemonade, Violet Drink (Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher meets coconut milk), Pink Drink (Strawberry Acai Refresher and coconut milk), and Ombre Pink Drink (Cool Lime Refresher, Passion Tango Tea, coconut milk).
"We're healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect, "Gaga said in a statement. "Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection."
A quarter of proceeds from each drink will go toward the Foundation, in addition to the $250,000 Starbucks has already pledged to donate. Funds will then be distributed to programs that "support youth wellness and empowerment by fostering kindness, improving mental health resources, and creating more positive environments." This includes, for example, the BTWF's Channel Kindness, committed to documenting youth stories of outstanding compassion around the nation.
"Over the years we've admired the amazing work that Lady Gaga has led through Born This Way Foundation," said Holly Hinton, Starbucks' director of Music and Artist Programming. "We are proud to introduce the Cups of Kindness collection to raise awareness and fund the Foundation's efforts to spread kindness, support youth and make the world a better place."
