After his stint on Scream Queens it was only a matter of time until Colton Haynes found himself shifting between shows in Ryan Murphy's TV universe. Now Murphy has revealed that Haynes' next role within his hallowed TV halls will be on the upcoming seventh season of American Horror Story.

Hayne's blood-smeared face will join regulars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, along with other AHS newcomers Billie Lourde and Billy Eichner. We'll have to wait and see what the story is behind the Arrow actor's bloody mouth, but with season seven's theme revolving around the 2016 presidential election, there are plenty of vampiric, demonic, and pure evil directions he could go.

The most obvious answer is that Haynes is the "red" mentioned in an earlier Instagram tease from Murphy about a "red, white, and blue" clue attached to a picture of an unidentified person's blue hair. After which he shared a shot of Billie Lourde with ghostly white hair, and now Hayne's reddened face. Patriotism-crazed fanatics, anyone?
