Gag on the New York City stylist's Frakta eleganza!
Since the photo of a thong fashioned from an Ikea Frakta bag went viral, variations of Frakta fashion have popped up around the net, but NYC stylist Andi Ospina, aka Andi Wardrobe, has taken Ikea couture to a whole new level. Ospina, a regular on the Manhattan club scene, designed a glamorous ball gown with the Frakta bag as fabric, a stroke of genius reminiscent of a Project Runway challenge.

Out: How was the Ikea gown constructed?
Andi Ospina: I designed the dress but my partner in crime Michael Kouri made it. We work together on Andi Wardrobe's visions. They happen often, but the IKEA dress is the first official collaboration for what's to come. The dress is tailored like a proper evening gown would be. He's a master couturier. And yes, it's comfortable!
What was the inspiration behind the project?
I just wanted to make a well made gown inspired by the IKEA trend, and went over amazingly. We also made a jockstrap, and a mask.

Do you have any plans for more Ikea couture?
As far as Ikea goes, I would do more but those fuckers didn't even like the photos!
