The rapper announced the donation through a tweet saying, "Planned and unplanned parenthood is beautiful."

Beautiful thugger girls unite. Before taking the stage at Terminal 5 for his first live show since the release of Beautiful Thugger Girls, Young Thug announced that all proceeds from the sold-out show would be given to Planned Parenthood. As he explained in the tweet, "I was a teenage parent. Planned and unplanned parenthood is beautiful." As if his donation weren't enough to win us over, the show also featured surprise appearances from Lil Yachty, Ugly Goe and Dae Dae.

Giving the money from his show to Planned Parenthood would be a kind gesture at any time, but it comes at an especially critical juncture in the organization's history. Over the past several years, Planned Parenthood has been the target of attack from conservative politicians and lobbying groups. Facilities have shut down and people who rely on the organization for vital health coverage have been forced to travel hundreds of miles to get treated. Today, four Planned Parenthood centers have closed in Iowa because of a "defunding measure" enacted by the state.

There's no word yet whether Young Thug will continue to donate funds from his concert to Planned Parenthood but every little bit helps--especially under an administration and Republican legislation that has fought to defund them completely. Now, put on the rapper's "Pick Up Your Phone" and donate to Planned Parenthood today.
