"I never want to be a figure of disappointment."
Aaron Carter, 29-year-old pop singer best known for 2000's "Aaron's Party," tweeted a note over the weekend revealing that he is attracted to both men and women.
He goes on to state that he's felt an attraction to men since he was 13 years old, but it wasn't until he was 17 that he had his first "experience" with a man. The memo tells that he feels no shame, and is purely trying to lift the burden that comes with keeping one's sexuality hidden.
The letter ends with Carter saying "I never want to be a figure of disappointment," and a Boy George quote to sum everything up: "I've never felt as though I didn't belong, I just acted as though I did."
