Netflix Has No Chill, Surprise Drops a Black Mirror Season Four Trailer

Netflix Has No Chill, Surprise Drops a Black Mirror Season Four Trailer

Black Mirror

The dystopian anthology series will release six new episodes later this year.

There's only one surprise drop that mattered this week and it didn't involve any blond-haired snake charmers. Our favorite streaming bae Netflix showed it truly has no chill when it released a preview for the fourth season of Black Mirror, which literally nobody was expecting.

After airing for two seasons on BBC and making the jump to Netflix for a critically-acclaimed third season, the dystopian show best described as "Twilight Zone meets modern technology" is set to release six new episodes that will leave us shaken to our core. In the all-too-brief preview, the names of the episodes (including one directed by Jodie fucking Foster) are revealed alongside clips of the episodes and, yes, the show continues to feature every British actor you've ever seen in anything. The titles for the episodes are: "Arkangel," "Hang the DJ," "Metalhead," "USS Calister," "Crocodile," and "Black Museum."

If this is your first time plugging in to Black Mirror, first of all shame on you. The anthology episodes have become cultural touchstones to how fucked up technology can make the world and are generally all terrifying, with the notable exception of an episode last season called "San Junipero," which is the most beautiful piece of television you'll ever see. With a new set of episodes slated for release by the end of the year, you've got plenty of time to watch (or re-watch) the brilliant series.
