Heathers First Teaser Promises Classic Lines in Modern Setting

It's always a gamble when a cult favorite book, movie, or TV series is rebooted and brought into the modern day. But from early looks at the cast and now our first tease of the upcoming Heathers reboot by Paramount Networks, we may have a winner on our hands.

Though the clique of monstrous popular girls is a tried and true trope, it's rare to have it perfected a la the original Heathers film or its descendant, Mean Girls. With an inclusive cast that includes a plus-size girl, genderqueer male and black lesbian as the title characters, the franchise looks like its headed in the right direction as brain tumors for breakfast lurch forward into the world of smartphones and Twitter feuds.
In a newly released teaser we're treated to a villainous strut from Heather Chandler, flanked by Heather Duke and Heath McNamara, on her way to have a presumably virulent chat with Veronica. Watch, below.
