Tom Cruise's Perfectly Bubbled Butt in Valkyrie Was Real
"Let it be known—I do my own mooning."
In all of film history, there are few scenes that have earned as much gay awe as the four-second shot of Tom Cruise's perfect butt in the beginning of his 2008 film, Valkyrie.
The scene has also drawn some suspicion from hawk-eyed audiences, because his butt was just too perfect to be real. One Twitter user hypothesized that Cruise was wearing prosthetic cheeks, and soon his tweet went viral, racking up tens of thousands of likes and retweets. While on a press tour for his new movie, American Made, Screen Rant asked the actor to address the controversy.
"There was no prosthetic in Valkyrie. No," he said. Cruise also mentioned a scene in American Made, in which his character moons his wife. "It's me. It's not CGI, it's me. I do my own mooning in films. So let it be known--I do my own mooning."
