This month, Garrett Clayton stars in his first film since coming out. The King Cobra star discussed his role in Reach in an Instagram post in August, explaining his own experience with bullying, depression, and suicide.

In Reach, Clayton plays Steven, a socially awkward band geek. Facing bullying at school and emotional abuse at home, he contemplates suicide. But when a new kid named Clarence (Johnny James Fiore) comes into his life, he gains a newfound sense of confidence that helps him form stronger relationships with those in his life.
