Valentina is a Perfect Angel in Rent: Live! First Look

Valentina's win as Miss Congeniality in season nine of RuPaul's Drag Racemay have been questionable. But in her next role, she's playing an Angel.

As announced last month, the All Stars 4 queen has joined the Fox musical cast of Rent: Live!, set to air next year. In it, she plays drumming drag queen and fashion icon, Angel Dumott Schunard (a role originated by Wilson Jermaine Heredia), whom many fans believe to be genderfluid or trans.

ETrecently stopped by the set of the live musical for a first look. And though we don't see much of the cast (Vanessa Hudgens plays Maureen, Tinashe plays Mimi), the clip does give us a first look at Valentina in her East Village '80s finest look as Angel.

Though the RPDR alum belted out a lyric from "Today 4 U" to tease her performance, she also admitted it's her dream to perform "Out Tonight" as Mimi. Let's hope there's no Showgirls shenanigans going on backstage.

Watch Valentina as Angel in Rent: Live!, premiering January 27 on Fox. And see her in season four of Rupaul's Drag Race: All Stars, December 14 on VH1.
