Karamo Brown’s Fiancé Had a Panic Attack Due to Wedding Planning

Someone call Jennifer Lopez!

Queer Eye may be more emotional and less tumoltuous than your average makeover show, but that doesn't mean the Fab Five don't have latent Bridezilla tendencies. During a panel at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre on Tuesday, culture aficionado Karamo Brown told the audience that his wedding planning took a sharp turn, sending his fiance to the hospital on Thanksgiving day. The Fab Five were in attendance discussing their new book, Queer Eye: Love Yourself, Love Your Life -- which Brown's fiance could probably use a copy of at this point.

"This is a true story, it's sad but it's also funny," Brown said. "This Thanksgiving, we spent the first couple hours in the emergency room because he had a severe anxiety attack, he thought it was a heart attack."

Brown's future husband, Ian Jordan, was fine, and doctors asked them what they'd been talking about when the attack struck. Brown said his fiance knew exactly what brought on the attack: "'He's been talking about the wedding!'"

Brown proposed this June at Jordan's birthday party, and they're planning a big wedding, having already located the perfect, quaint little 30 acre venue. "[For] the Friday night of our three-day wedding event, I just paid for a Ferris wheel, I'm not even joking," revealed Brown, which brings the anxiety attack into context quite nicely. Is this wedding Love, Simon themed?

At the panel, Brown's Queer Eye castmates joked that he was too involved in planning the 2020 wedding. Said Tan France: "We can redo a house in three days!"
