It's very common knowledge that a lot of hooking up happens in the Olympic Village, so of course there are plenty of condoms on hand--over 110,000, actually. That's more than any other Winter Games in history because hey, it's winter. You've got to warm up somehow.
Not everyone is impressed. In an Instagram story posted over the weekend, gay Olympian U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon lamented on how "disappointing" the Olympic condom selection was.

"Like, I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting. I thought maybe they'd have like Olympic rings on them or they'd be all different colors, but, no. It's all a myth," Rippon said. "And I'm not, like, upset," he said before pausing for emphasis. "I'm disappointed."
But the figure skater, who recently opted not to meet Vice President Pence, rallied. "It's alright. Life isn't always what it seems and sometimes the condoms are just generic. And sometimes they're not only just generic, sometimes they're only available at the polyclinic outside the gym. And that's okay."
Hopefully Rippon is more impressed by the Grindr selection in the Olympic Village.
