Last summer, Lady Gaga was subpoenaed by Dr. Luke to testify in his court battle with Kesha. According to Luke, Gaga had "relevant information" about Kesha making false claims about his behavior. At the time, it was reported that Luke was allowed to view a text message exchange between Kesha and Gaga.
Now the subject of that text message has come to light. According to The Blast, Kesha alluded in the text that Dr. Luke had raped Katy Perry. "'Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha's] encouragement, [Lady Gaga] spread negative messages about [Luke] in the press and on social media,'" the court documents reportedly claim. According to The Blast, Perry was also deposed as part of the lawsuit, although the content of that deposition isn't detailed.
Perry worked with Dr. Luke on her first three albums -- he produced "I Kissed a Girl" and Teenage Dream" -- but she stopped working with him for Witness, claiming that she "had to leave the nest."
