While the world is still barely hanging on by the thread of an appearance Meryl Streep made in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, the big screen icon is preparing to take over the small screen. She's joining Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, and Nicole Kidman for season two of HBO's Big Little Lies. She'll guest star as Mary Louise Wright, the mother-in-law of Kidman's Celeste and mother of Alexander Skarsgard's Perry, who met an unfortunate but arguably deserved fate in the first season finale.

And while we don't know much about what drama is to come in the sophomore season of what was meant to be a limited series, some recently release set photos promise plenty of fun for the whole family. Making the rounds is a shot of Witherspoon and Streep, mid-scene. But it seems that all is not cordial for the ladies of Monterey as Witherspoon's Madeline is winding up a pitch to hurl an ice cream cone at the back of Streep's three-time Oscar-winning head.

Fans are eating up the ice cream photo so quickly that the internet is sharing a collective brain freeze. (We can't help but wonder if she threw the ice cream witherspoon or withoutherspoon.) With little context provided of this confrontational scene, Witherspoon even took to Twitter to share the fun.

Season two of Big Little Lies is set to premiere in 2019.
