Sequel to 1999 Gay Rom-Com 'Trick' in the Works

Coco Peru is returning for the sequel.

A sequel to the 1999 gay romantic comedy, Trick is in the works. Director Jim Fall recently announced the project in a Facebook post. The new installment comes just in time for the film's 20th anniversary.

If you haven't seen the original, you're missing out on an essential LGBTQ coming of age experience. The film stars Christian Campbell as Gabriel, a young composer who meets a go-go dancer named Mark (JP Pitoc) on the subway. As the two look for a place to hook up, they run across obstacles all over New York City - including Tori Spelling and Coco Peru.

More should be announced soon as the cast and crew of the original are having a 20th anniversary reunion this week in Los Angeles. In the meantime, watch Coco Peru's iconic monologue to hold you over:
