Years of media isolation have not dissuaded Caitlyn Jenner who claims she has been behind the scenes on Capitol Hill in a rare interview with Variety.
The former Olympian turned motivational speaker and reality TV mother of ten is now a trans rights advocate who has been working with the American Unity Fund to fight for trans service members right to enlist in the military following President Trump's notorious transgender military ban.
"Today, I'm very politically involved. Nobody really knows it," Jenner says to Variety. I do it very quietly because I have been so criticized by the liberal side of the media. I can get more things done if I don't stick my nose into everything publicly."

In the interview, Jenner also speaks on feeling betrayed by Trump going back on his promises to the LGBT community, and goes in depth to discuss her relationship with the media, which she feels is a reason for her distance from the public eye as she accommodates her socially progressive inclinations with her economically conservative beliefs.
Jenner even makes mention of a fleeting desire to run for public office, though she suggests her ability to advocate for and normalize the trans community for the Republican Party serves a more efficient purpose.
