Biopic About Bisexual Hollywood Pimp Scotty Bowers In Development

If you haven't seen the documentary, Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood, you're missing out on an intriguing piece of Hollywood history (hence the title). But if documentaries aren't really your thing, no worries. Scotty Bowers is getting the biopic through Fox Searchlight.

Now in development, it follows Bowers story from Marine to Hollywood pimp. After fighting in the Battle of Iwo Jima, he made his way to Los Angeles. There, he became a bisexual hustler, also arranging dates for movie stars. He remained in business from the '40s until the AIDS outbreak in the '80s.

Bowers' story originally came to light with his 2012 biography, Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars. It included extensive details of the sordid sex lives of Hollywood's elite. The book was only published after most of those depicted had died.

Matt Tyrnauer, director of the documentary, is producing the biopic with Corey Reeser of Altimeter Films. No writer or director is attached yet.
