Author JK Rowling has left a magical impression on millions of children and children-at-heart. Her books about Harry Potter and his pals at Hogwarts will always be a treasured piece of literary history. Let's not forget, she also gave us one of literature's most beloved queer characters, Albus Dumbledore.
Now, the author is leaving her magical impression on holy matrimonies. Rowling recently popped up at a same-sex wedding between Nick and John at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh. As the couple was having their photos taken outside, the writer walked by after apparently having lunch at the venue.
Providing the full experience for his clients, photographer Matt Fothergill asked if Rowling would pose with the happy couple. Nick and John's faces in the image are pretty much all of us.
"She was just delightful from start to finish. She turned and smiled, strode over and gave them both the biggest hugs and wished them the greatest of health and happiness," Fothergill told PinkNews. "It was such a wonderful surreal beautiful moment. We laughed about it for about half an hour afterwards. Nick's face in the pictures kind of gave away how starstruck we all were, I think. I actually squealed with delight when she was still within earshot."
