The cover story was released in time for the debut of Sivan's highly-anticipated album, Bloom.

We're also in love with the new look Sivan is sporting on the cover of Paper, which was just released today. Channeling the likes of an early Lindsay Lohan, he's serving red hair for Bloom day. The cover photo by Carin Backoff is pure Jessica Rabbit ginger fish, if Jessica Rabbit was a 23-year-old gay man who's taking pop music by storm.

In the interview, he discusses collabs, bottoming, and the progress of queer representation in music.

"I am really excited by so much of the queer music coming out right now," Sivan says. "I look at Kevin Abstract and Kehlani and other artists who are completely different from each other, but the only unifying thing is we're all queer and that's really cool to me. That's an accurate representation of what the community looks like -- it's a diverse group of people who couldn't be more different but are brought together by not identifying ourselves as straight. We're heading in the right direction, but we don't want to become complacent because of that."
