Last week, the cast and crew of Colette celebrated its New York premiere. The film tells the story of Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, the author known simply as Colette. From her childhood in the French countryside to her marriage to a prominent author in Paris and her relationships with numerous women, she became a literary icon and a symbol of empowerment for young women everywhere.
The premiere took place at the Museum of Modern Art. It was followed by an after party at the Rainbow Room, which was presented by Casa Noble. The event featured specialty themed cocktails inspired by the film, including Willy's Ghostwriter and Claudine's Sour Twist.
The cast of the film was in attendance, including Keira Knightley (who wore an Alexander McQueen dress from the Resort 2019 collection), Dominic West, Jake Graf, Fiona Shaw, Eleanor Tomlinson and Denise Gough, as well as director, Wash Westmoreland. Also in attendance were Alysia Reiner and Chelsea Clinton, who sported an "I voted" sticker.
Colette premieres Friday, September 21. Watch the trailer below:
