Watch Darren Criss’ Acceptance Speech for Winning Lead Actor Emmy for ‘Assassination of Gianni Versace'

DARREN CRISS

"Oh my God, you guys are witnessing the most extraordinary moment of my life thus far."

Darren Criss won the Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Emmy Award for his portrayal of U.S. serial killer Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

Cunanan infamously murdered fashion legend Gianni Versace at the gates of Versace's Villa, Casa Casuarina, in Miami Beach.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace, directed by Ryan Murphy, won two other Emmys: one for Limited Series and the other for Outstanding Casting for a Limited Series.

Criss, whom I completely forgot is straight, gave an adorable shoutout to his fiance, along with his friend and the series creator, Ryan Murphy.
