Andy Cohen Burns Homophobic Trolls Over NYE Comments

If you weren't at your local gay bar lining up to request that the DJ play Tori Amos' "Cornflake Girl" at midnight on New Year's Eve, you may have been home watching the Andys, aka Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, host New Year's Eve Live on CNN. Viewers tuned in to watch these gay BFFs (who recently revealed they've shared the same sexual partner in the past) countdown to 2019 in Times Square on a very rainy New York City night. This countdown included a lot of shots, much to Cooper's consternation.

While loyal Bravo biddies ate all this up, the Internet's homophobic population was not as supportive. Actor, alleged sexual predator and all-round right wing asshole James Woods tweeted the video of Cooper, captioning it "men in 2019," which seems to be his roundabout way of calling them "faggots who can't drink like a real man." Cohen wasn't about to take that, quoting Wood's tweet and adding, "assholes in 2019."

Other troglodyte homophobes (including some self-hating gays, love them!) chimed in with their own inventive drags, and Cohen was quick with burns. "Please grow up before you become a dad," wrote one troll, responding to Cohen's plea for an umbrella during the pouring rain. His savage response: "Please do something about your hair before tweeting me again."

This is the kind of energy some of us are bringing into 2019.
