Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a Valentina Stan

AOC

The newly sworn-in congresswoman loved her Eartha Kitt.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes history today as the youngest woman to be sworn into Congress. The all-star socialist won the Democratic primary for New York's 14th Congressional district with a slew of progressive platforms, like a ban on assault weapons, Medicare for all, the abolishment of ICE, and continued support for LGBTQ+ people, quickly becoming a nationwide celebrity. She's built a massive following of millennials and marginalized communities, particularly on social media, which has set her apart from many of her geriatric peers. That following definitely showed up, electing her along with a record amount of female candidates to Congress.

But the Democratic representative also belongs to another massive following, having tweeted her status as a proud RuPaul's Drag Race fan. When All Stars 4 premiered last month, she even considered releasing her predictions of the season in the fashion of Obama's NCAA predictions, which we are so here for.

But I think we can guess who her prediction is for the next entry in the RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars hall of fame. Following last week's "Snatch Game of Love" episode, Ocasio-Cortez showed up for a Latinx sister and tweeted her bid for Valentina, in response to OUT contributing editor, Evan Ross Katz. She applauded the queen's impersonation of Eartha Kitt, calling her and Shangela the "queens of my heart" in Spanish.

Valentina's fanbase is one of the most passionate in RPDR herstory. During her original season, she won Miss Congeniality, which was left to a fan vote. That success has made her a fan favorite for All Stars 4, which the congresswoman seems to have thrown her support behind.

This is a fandom we can't help but love. And since Leslie Jones' outspoken Twitter adoration of the show resulted in her own guest judge spot, we're pulling for Representative Ocasio-Cortez to make a guest appearance in season 11.
