Frankie Grande Says ‘Thank U, Next’ to His Throuple
“I’m super glad that we decided to end things amicably.”
Friends, homos, countrythems; today is a sad day for queers everywhere. Frankie Grande, brother of BBQ enthusiast Ariana Grande, has broken things off with his throuple. This is a conscious un-throupling on par with Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's split and we need to come together as a community during this trying time.
"Thank you, next! I'm so bleepin' grateful for my exes," said Grande, clearly grieving, to Us Weekly.
In November (the same weekend Ariana released "thank u, next," what a funny coincidence!) Grande confirmed that he was dating a married couple. These are my boyfriends," Grande said of Daniel Sinasohn and Mike Pophis. "[We've been dating for] almost three months, but in the gay world, it's like five years." Grande joked that the best part of his relationship was the "dick," but added that Sinasohn is "very smart. So is Mike, Mike is also very smart."
But neither good dick or intelligence were enough to keep these crazy kids together.
"I am single. I've been single for about a month now," Grande told Us on Wednesday. "It's really good ... I'm super grateful for my last relationship. I grew so much in it, and at the same time, it wasn't working out anymore. I'm super glad that we decided to end things amicably. And that we can all remain friends ... that's the important thing."
Grande explained that being in a throuple is "so complicated." He told Us Weekly that with two partners "you have double the highs, double the excitement ... but also double the lows, double the drama." It was especially hard for Grande to get through the breakup sober (he celebrated one year of sobriety in January). "My emotions were so high and so heavy," he said. "As breakups go, it was a good one. It was definitely a good one. But I felt everything."
Maybe he and Ariana can get matching breakup tattoos? They just might want to do their research first ...
