Benjamin Allen Cohen is already more famous than you.
In case you hadn't heard, Andy Cohen is a new dad. And if you were expecting the Bravo head honcho to demand that we respect his new heir's privacy and shroud the infant in mystery -- girl, have you never watched a Real HousewivesRepisode?
Cohen shared a video of himself cradling his newborn son following Benjamin Allen Cohen's birth, and now he's given the world an even closer look at his "dream baby" on the cover of People. "I'm excited to show him to the world," Cohen says on the cover, which is also probably what he says every time he and Anderson Cooper find new trade to share.
The reality TV mogul, who became a father via surrogate, reveals that he was in the room when his son was born. "I had been hoping that he would have a full head of hair, and he really over-delivered," he joked, referring to Benjamin's impressive mop of brown hair. "That was the first thing you see, the head of hair coming out. And I was amazed." Cohen cut Benjamin's umbilical cord and had a bonding skin-to-skin moment with his new baby.
"He was so alert for the first two hours. His eyes were wide open. He didn't cry; he was just calm," Cohen tells People. "I kind of have no words for it."
Cohen also opened up about the surrogacy process, revealing that he "worked with an organization that helps you find the egg donor and the surrogate, and you kind of package the whole process." The Watch What Happens host "worked with an incredible surrogate" in California as surrogacy is still illegal in several states, including New York. "I don't understand why," says Cohen. "It's a voluntary process, obviously. My surrogate just viewed it as, she was giving me the ultimate gift. She gave me life. So I'll be forever indebted to her."
