Lady Gaga and Christian Carino Have Ended Their Engagement
Lady Gaga has broken up with her fiance, talent agent Christian Carino, a representative confirmed to People. Alexa, play "Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" by Lady Gaga.
Rumors have circulated for weeks that Gaga and Carino had broken off their engagement, but with the pop-star-turned-movie-star in the midst of an Oscar campaign and a Las Vegas residency, it seemed unlikely that she'd confirm the relationship's demise if it were in fact true. But Stefani loves nothing more than to surprise us, and on Tuesday People confirmed that the engagement was in fact over. Looks like they're not going to "Marry the Night" after all.
"It just didn't work out. Relationships sometimes end," a source close to Gaga told People, explaining that Gaga and Carino broke "a bit ago" and that "there's no long dramatic story."
Little Monsters have been on top of the rumored split for weeks after noticing that Gaga didn't wear her engagement ring to the Grammys. And on Valentine's Day, the actress shared a photo of her cringey A Star Is Borntribute tattoo instead of anything about her man.
Gaga first confirmed the engagement at Elle's 25th annual Women in Hollywood Celebration in October, thanking her "fiance Christian" in a powerful speech about sexual assault. The two had first been spotted together during Gaga's rehearsals for the Super Bowl in 2017.
Gaga stans have been almost unanimously celebrating the news of Gaga and Carino's split, taking it as a sign that "LG6," Gaga's highlights-anticipated studio album that is allegedly in production, is going to be a post-breakup banger. At any rate, the Oscars are shaping up to be very emotional.
