Phillip's Tip: "The late Oribe Canales was the original King of big, beautiful hair. In that case, consider this thickening spray his royal scepter: spray generously to damp hair and blow-dry with a round brush, and watch as your limp locks are magically given LIFE. And for the short-haired among us? Pump up your pixie by rough drying after application, and finishing with a matte, texturizing paste."
Phillip's Tip: "I've been using this product since I was a teenager--the lemongrass lends such an invigorating scent to this gentle, thorough scrub. Simply grab a dab, add water, and luxuriate in the deep clean. Whereas other scrubs contain abrasive physical exfoliants, this one dissolves nicely and leaves your face feeling perfectly polished. I prefer it at nighttime, when I need heavy duty results to get off the day's makeup."
Phillip's Tip:"The closest thing we have to Youth Potion is Retinol, but I especially love recommending this product because you can use it at any age! Retinol is an active ingredient that can effectively treat fine lines, surface texture, and acne, so it's kind of the perfect upgrade to the standard acne routine. I like using at night and waking up to a glowing complexion."
Phillip's Tip: "Pride Month in New York always means sweaty weather--and while our sweat glands may be working overtime, there will be not a slick of oil found in our T-Zones if we use this baby. This does everything your favorite, mattifying primer does--just with the added punch of light-reflecting particles that help to enhance any foundation or concealer it lays under. You'll be glowing all day long."
Phillip's Tip: "If you do nothing else with your bad self, clean up those brows and pump up those lashes! Benefit's been making this makeup bag staple for YEARS, and there's a reason she's still at the top of her game. Just do me a favor: Curl your lashes first, pumping once at the base, once mid-lash, and once at the very ends, lifting your wrist ever so slightly to encourage a deeper, elongated lift. Then, coat away--you'll love the results."
Phillip's Tip: "Acure Organics is a TREASURE of a brand, let me tell you! I cannot shout from the rooftops enough how quality their products are, and I am so grateful they deliver such excellence at such a reasonable price point. Other acne masks always dry me out or tend to over-treat my skin, but this one balances BHA (the zit-fighting tough stuff) with nourishing and calming elements like white willow and licorice root. So instead of feeling matte or tight afterwards, your skin will still be left nice and supple--just with less visible pores."
