Monét X Change, Alyssa Edwards, Nina West, Plastique Tiara and Shuga Cain literally snatch wigs off each other’s heads in new digital series thanks to Pepsi and World of Wonder.
Pepsi, in partnership with World of Wonder, the company that has brought us the award-winning hit show RuPaul's Drag Race, have teamed up to 'Pass the Pride' in celebration of World Pride hitting New York City.
The journey begins with the debut of an epic Pepsi wig which is coveted by some of our favorite queens like Monet X Change, Alyssa Edwards, Nina West, Plastique Tiara, and Shuga Cain. Throughout the series, the wig travels across the country as it is passed from one queen to another, all of whom are trying to snatch the wig in an effort to make their Pride look as "extra" as possible. Viewers can follow along as the wig embarks on a journey to NYC. It is here that the wig will ultimately end up with Shuga Cain who will be proudly donning the wig for all to see at World Pride.
If you're planning to attend World Pride, make sure you snatch a wig for yourself. That's right! On June 30, Pepsi with Out Magazine will be bringing a limited number of wigs aboard their pride float to "Pass the Pride" to the celebratory crowd along the march route. Shuga Cain will be present to bring looks, a little "shade" for an anticipated hot day, and you guessed it, some wigs to pass out.
Additionally, Pepsi and World of Wonder are honored to continue their relationships with, and support for, Outfest, through a joint charitable donation to support the organization's mission of positively impacting the LGBTQIA+ community by showcasing thousands of films from around the world as well as educating and mentoring emerging filmmakers in the community.
