It's that time of year again.
Pride season is basically here and brands are releasing their latest collections. Calvin Klein has made a name for itself over the past few years casting names like Indya Moore, Troye Sivan, Pabllo Vittar, Omar Ayuso, Honey Dijon, and many more for the campaign. In addition, they often release a collection of pieces that's included everything from denim jackets and bucket hats to jockstraps.
This year the brand returns with an amazing cast. Of the talent, there's Justice Smith and Nic Ashe. The two actors initially came out as gay and boyfriends together in 2020. Since, they've been spotted together at various events, particularly those for the fashion brand YSL as well as on red carpets. This campaign makes their first major project together.
In addition, film icon John Waters appears with actress Mink Stole. Sasha and Sergio Lane and representatives from The Trevor Project also appear in addition to part of the House of Xtravaganza. the Afrofuturistic arts collective TRIBE, hairstylist Holli Smith and her fiance Pony, and Snail Mail and her crew are all a part of the campaign, wearing the "This is Love" collection.
Spanning apparel, underwear, and activewear, the This is Love collection uses colors from the Progress Pride Flag, which was created as a visual sign of representation and intersectionality within the LGBTQ+ community.
This is all a part of the brand's year-round commitment to supporting the community through both representation and funds.
