The September/October issue of Out magazine features stunning photography in its cover story of Ben Platt -- and here's a behind-the-scenes look at its creation.
In June, the Dear Evan Hansen star visited the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills for a shoot with photographer Nicolas Wagner. Also on hand were Wagner's assistant Mickel Garrett, stylist Kenn Law, stylist assistant Olivia Thomas, Melissa DeZarate for grooming, videographer AJ Morales, and Out editor-in-chief Daniel Reynolds.
In the video below, Platt poses, jumps, and dances through the garden, lounge, staircase, and rooftop of the Sofitel in apparel designed by John Varvatos, Fendi Men's, Yacht & Smith, Etro, Converse, Calvin Klein, and more.
See the shoot below. The background track is "Leave My Mind" from Platt's new album, Reverie.
The cover story is part of Out's 2021 Design issue, which is out on newsstands October 5, 2021. To get your own copy directly, support queer media and subscribe -- or download yours for Amazon, Kindle, Nook, or Apple News.
