It's been a stressful year, to say the least. One solution? Retail therapy.
Below, Out's editors compiled some of our favorite picks for 2022 gift-giving. Whether it's a designer trunk for your pup, a soothing candle, or a rainbow bottle of bubbly, there's something for everyone in this year's guide.
Treat her like you should with a super stylish take on the classic LV trunk. The Malle Chien Louis Vuitton Dog Trunk, which looks as good at home as on the runway, has a washable soft touch cushion and golden metal grid on the sides to ventilate. ($3,500, us.louisvuitton.com)
Both the six-cup and two-cup sets of the Utopia Macho Man Mugs pay homage to the legendary Village People. ($26 and up, jonathanadler.com)
You'll find something between these three queer candle makers, like Snif's Instant Karma; Bijou's Elvira Poison Apple; or Boy Smells' Limited Edition Grace candle, a gender-fluid collaboration with the iconic Grace Jones. (Prices vary, boysmells.com; bijoucandles.com; snif.co)
These Louis Vuitton Cargo Pants -- featuring a Gobelin tapestry, jacquard fabric, and Gustave Courbet painting -- should be paired with Patrick Church's new GayBoy Wines, (also on this list) which are marketed with a nearly naked Church riding the bottle. Recipients will want to (respectively) put 'em on and take 'em off. ($3,750, us.louisvuitton.com; $31, patrickchurchartist.com)
This mid-century meets futuristic fantasy of a white lacquer console table with the luminous solid blue acrylic cabochons is small enough to fit anywhere but big on style wherever it lands. ($2,200,jonathanadler.com)
Whiskey isn't for everyone, but it's serious business for some of us. The engraving on the Harmonie Whisky Decanter Square is reminiscent of a 1940s era pinstripe suit, and the full Harmonie collection, styled by Savinel & Roze for Baccarat, adds cocktail glasses and tumblers. ($1,315, us.baccarat.com)
You'll be the life of the party when you bring Accademia's Rainbow Pack. Inspired by the colors of Venetian glass, Bottega's amazing Prosecco delights the senses with streams of tiny bubbles and the aromatics of Acacia blossoms, hints of white peach, and crisp apples on the palate. Unless they're a teetotaler, nearly everyone loves this one, making this the best boozy host gift of 2022. ($89, vinporter.com)
Patrick Church's new GayBoy Wines, which are marketed with a nearly naked Church riding the bottle, should be paired with the Louis Vuitton Cargo Pants. Recipients will want to (respectively) put 'em on and take 'em off. ($3,750, us.louisvuitton.com; $31, patrickchurchartist.com)
The new Apple Watch Ultra is worth the upgrade for adventurers. It has the best GPS available (hike away), is waterproof down to 160+ feet (dive and surf all you want), and it has car crash detection that calls for emergency help unless you tell it not to. Meanwhile, we've loved shooting covers in the studio on the Google Pixel 7 this year, but the phone, the first to feature Real Tone, is great for shots around the globe because it captures the nuances of skin tones that make people feel truly seen. ($800, apple.com; $599, store.google.com)
Sure, harnesses and beard balm are great, but this iconic ursine-shaped luxury art toy, Be@rbrick, is a sophisticated way to fly your hirsute flag. ($450 and up, us.baccarat.com)
