Welcome to the end of September, Out readers!

As we get deeper into the year, that means that Award Season is getting closer and closer! In celebration, we have a list of eight early Oscar predictions involving queer filmmakers and films!

When it comes to acting predictions, we have our eyes on Colman Domingo for his performance in the prison drama Sing Sing, trans actress Karla Sofia Gascon for the film Emilia Pérez, Katy O'Brien from Love Lies Bleeding, Lily Gladstone in Fancy Dance, and I Saw the TV Glow star Justice Smith.

In other categories, we're rooting for Luca Guadagnino to be recognized for either of his stunning films this year, Challengers or Queer. We're also loving the Netflix documentary Will & Harper, about Will Ferrell and his trans best friend going on a cross-country road trip, which we think has a real chance at two nominations, Best Documentary and Best Original Song.

As Award Season heats up, keep checking Out.com for the latest queer movie news!

Now, onto the weekly news.

Comment of the Week

On our post about early Oscar predictions, we have to agree with @ry.cee who says "If @kingofbingo isn't nominated for an Oscar this next season I'm going to flip a goddamn table"

Gayest Song of the Week

It's a wonderful week for gay music, with Lady Gaga's Harlequin albu, SOPHIE's posthumous album, and Billie Eilish releasing the music video for her hit song "Birds of a Feather."
